How to Play the Avatar Card...

...you don’t play the avatar card like other cards, you have it in play before you start the game. The first thing you would do before playing the conflict game is decide which avatar card you are going to use...

Playing the Avatar Card...

Choosing an Avatar...

Elements...

Each avatar will be one of the four colours; yellow, red, blue & green. Each colour represents one of the four elements; Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Each Avatar will come from one of the 16 races and each race commands one of the 16 different magic disciplines. This is Cactus, he can uses Augment magic which has Earth as the dominant element and water as a lesser element. This means that cactus can use either Earth or Water cards in his deck.

Pack...

On the left you will see the Avatars pack, this is what the Avatar will have at the start of the game. You will see what Cactus starts the game with; 10 gold, 3 locations, 42 life and 6 draw cards.

Information Box...

You avatar will have its special ability displayed in the Information Box. Cactus has +1 to movement which means he has 1 move point added to his 1d6 die throw.

Attack Points...

The Avatar attack points are what your avatar will have during play to decide what damage is dealt to your enemy or their conflicts that they use against you. Attack abilities can be used to bolster your avatars attack points...

Gold...

The gold that you start the game with can be used to buy things from certain location cards. The sorts of things that can be purchased are; Destroy Location, Destroy Ability, buy revealed deck cards etc... Although you may not start the game with much gold, it can be collected during play as rewards from battles or buy selling cards at certain locations...

Location Points...

For every location point you may go through your deck and choose a location card that you will start the game with. Once you have chosen the locations, lay them face down and shuffle your deck and lay that face down too...

Life...

This is how much life your avatar will start the game with. You must track the life of your avatar throughout the conflict game, if it falls to zero, you are dead and your enemy has won the game. There are certain locations that will give you life as a location reward or location ability.

Draw Cards...

The draw cards that you start with are drawn from the top of your face down, shuffled deck (you cannot choose these as you would your starting locations)...
